18 May, 2022 (Singapore) – Team Flash’s Wild Rift team has done it once again after securing a gold medal in the 31st SEA Games Wild Rift Men’s Tournament. Their victory secures a first gold medal for Team Vietnam in the Esports category at the SEA Games.
The gold medalists have carried their fine form on from the Wild Rift Championship Series and continued their winning streak, going undefeated for the entirety of the tournament. They comfortably displaced Singapore, Myanmar, and Laos in the group stages before advancing to the playoffs.
Team Flash overcame Malaysia with a 3-0 win, earning them a place in the Grand Finals against Thailand in which they won a sweeping 3-0 as well.
Nguyễn Hữu Phát – Zysu said “I think the team and I are still in disbelief of what we have achieved. We are so happy to have won this for Team Vietnam especially as we have done it on home turf. And we couldn’t have done so without our coach, hours of training and of course the fans who have supported us all the way.”
Team Flash now set their sights on the The Wild Rift Icons Global Championship in Singapore as they aim to continue their hot winning streak.
