Singapore, 11 June 2021 – In a bid to help with the COVID-19 crisis in Vietnam and facilitate efficient vaccine rollouts, Team Flash has donated a total of $80mil VND (S$3,487) towards the country’s recently announced COVID-19 Vaccine Fund.
The money, which was raised through a weeklong fund-raising campaign, saw contributions from both staff and professional gamers of Team Flash.
Mark Chew, CEO of Team Flash said, “COVID-19 is a crisis that is not going to go away unless everyone does their part, so it’s imperative that we help in any way that we can to better ease the situation. The Vietnamese community has provided Team Flash with lots of support throughout the years. Donating to the vaccine fund is the least we can do to give back to them.”
The COVID-19 Vaccine Fund, which launched earlier this week is aimed at providing monetary support towards the purchase and import of vaccines, and research and development for the production of domestic vaccines. The fund will also be used to provide locals with free vaccination.
Team Flash, a prominent name in the e-sports scene in Vietnam is known for their dominance in games such as Arena of Valor, League of Legends and Freefire. They currently have a team of 22 professional players and have won multiple championships in both local and international tournaments.
